Basle camping info - Drei-Länder-Camp campsite
The Drei-laender-camp (Three country camp) is actually centred in the German town of Lörrach but is handily located for the Swiss city of Basle and the French city of Mulhouse just across the border. The campsite offers everything travellers need for a comfortable and idyllic break, with the Black Forest and River Rhine close at hand, stunning scenery and beautifully maintained parks. Children can enjoy the campsite and surrounding areas safely and are well catered for here. On site the sanitary facilities have been recently refurbished and washing machines and dryers are provided. Self catering amenities are laid on with cooking areas, fridges and even crockery and cutlery supplied. If you can't be bothered with the washing up, the onsite restaurant serves up numerous local specialities and plenty of healthy fare. Motor homes are catered for as well as tents and a reasonably priced supermarket is a short walk away. Activities on site include table football, table tennis and tennis while a neighbouring leisure centre has everything you would expect, from a gym to a solarium. Bicycle hire is available on the campsite. The surrounding area offers plenty of activities and places to explore. The nearby Grüttpark has an adventure playground and swimming pool, the Grüttsee and rose garden, and is a starting point for lots of biking and skating trails. Castle Rötteln is close by for some nice photo opportunities and there is a water park within a few hundred metres of the campsite with water slides, diving boards and trampolines. If you stay at the Drei-laender-camp you are never far away from everything you need for a great holiday in a charming part of the world. Historical sites, cities and towns, wine regions, parks, lakes, rivers and an opportunity to visit three countries in as many days - and it's open all year round!
