Located just 2 kms from Berne city centre, the Eichholz Bern campsite is perfectly suited to visitors combining camping with a trip to the Swiss capital. Set in a nice spot by the river Aare, the campsite has room for around 50 caravans or motorhomes and plenty of space to pitch a tent. The campsite is equipped with clean showers and toilets as well as washrooms, kitchen with cooking facilities, washing machine and drier. The campground also has a common room for visitors with a TV. Barbecue areas are located by the river Aare. It is possible to book a room on the site cheaply although the standard is more that of a youth hostel rather than a hotel. This is budget living and you must bring your own sleeping bag and book in advance.
